About Me

Devrim ESENTURK

Born in Turkey, 1979. My father was a soldier, so I traveled a lot around the country. I always interested in mechanics and electronics, unfortunately I had no chance to study what I want.  I educated hotel management but I never do my job.

I started to work at ITM in 1999 which represents many foreign companies in Turkey. ITM sells very special, unique and hi-tech equipment to government. Working at ITM gave me opportunity to visit companies all around the world.  I’d like to write companies and what I’ve done with my visits:

Since 2002, I give technical support who has IBIS system in Turkey. I also have an installation abroad. I give the support level I, II and even III. Shortly, IBIS system keep an archive of ballistic information’s, which have been acquired by user, system correlates these information at local or national servers(even international servers) and finds similarities between tests and references. This give direct link to crime. More than 35 countries use heritage or newer systems.
  • Ahura Scientific – Trained for user and giving “level I” technical support about FirstDefender and TruDefender | FT handheld chemical identification devices.  Why “level I”, because you never need level II technical support for these equipments. They are designed for military standards, this means devices are rugged. These equipments are for EOD and HazMat units, Firefighters, Law Enforcement basically who needs to identify unknown chemicals at field. They use Raman and FTIR spectroscopy techniques, absorbed or emitted lights from molecule bonds has unique information like fingerprint. These fingerprints identify chemicals.
  • Spheron VR – Trained for user and giving “level I” technical support about SpheroCam HDR. Mainly, this camera solution is for Forensic and Crime Scene departments. Camera takes spherical images, these images create virtual reality. You can see everything inside as you were there. Also camera has high dynamic range(HDR) capability, this gives to photographer to take all light range (26 f-stops) in one single shot. This means, you can see anything in the picture like human eyes. Dark or light areas become visible.
  • Qinetiq-North America, Foster-Miller – Trained for user about Talon Robot. More than 3000 Talon robot serves in real conditions all around the world. General mission profile of a robot is reconnaissance, surveillance and assault.  Mainly, robots are used for EOD missions. But, also you can use it for HazMat, you can mount a shotgun and use for SWAT missions. New generation robot called MAARS has a machine gun. So, you can use it in a battlefield. Also Dragon Runner SUGV (small unmanned ground vehicle) same as its big brother Talon, you can use it for reconnaissance, surveillance, tactical operations, even HazMat.
